Sachin Tendulkar has been eliminated
of the remaining of India’s tour of England, and may be to lose his presence in
Mumbai Indians’ Champions League campaign as well, after a visit to a
specialist in London it is confirmed that he will require four to six weeks of relief
to recover from an injury on his right foot. S Badrinath will replacing Tendulkar
in the remaining India’s tour of England.
Due to injury, Tendulkar’s and all his campaignians Dream for the tough 100th international hundred,
which has been hanging over him all tour, will not now be restart until England’s tour of India in October.
The news of rest of four to
six weeks brings to an end a spoil tour for Tendulkar, in which he showed glance
of form during India’s 4-0 whitewash in the Test series & also defeat in
only T20 match.
India have been faced
by a series of injuries on this tour of England, starting with Zaheer Khan’s
hamstring pull, Yuvraj Singh fractured a finger on his left hand, while
Harbhajan Singh strained his stomach muscle during India’s crushing defeat in
the second Test at Trent Bridge. Virender Sehwag had not completely recovered
from the shoulder surgery and was suffering from hearing problems in his left
ear, and another major setback, Gautam Gambhir failed to recover from a
concussion he picked up while fielding on the third day of the final Test. Praveen
Kumar had, also bring himself in the India’s long list of injured, of an injury
to his left ankle. Ishant Sharma wasn’t as golden, returning home after the
Tests following a ligament injury to his left ankle, which will require surgery.
