Aleem Dar selected best umpire third time consecutively

Pakistani Umpire Aleem dar won again the tittle of best umpire this time, third time consecutively. He won David Shephard Trophy at the ICC Awards Ceremony. He beated five time winner Simon Taufel, Steve Davis and Ian Gould. This ceremony was conducted at LONDON.

He was evaluated from five (5) Tests and Thirteen (13) ODIs during the period from August 11, 2010 to August 03, 2011. His voting period also includes World Cup final as played between Sri Lanka and India.

Electing members were cosisting 10 Full Member Captains and Eight-man elite panel of match referees

Aleem Dar said, “It’s a great honour and I’m thankful to everyone at the ICC and also my colleagues on the Elite Panel of ICC umpires along with the Pakistan Cricket Board”, “I’d like to also thank all my family for all their support since I’m away nearly eight months of the year umpiring.”
